Microshading & Microblading

Microshading uses pin-like dots of pigmentation to achieve a powdered eyebrow look. Microblading uses a bladed needle to apply pigmentation underneath the skin. The technician fills your brows by making hair-like strokes that look like natural eyebrow hair.

HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?

One of the beautiful things about micropigmentation is that it lasts 1-3 years. Microshading typically last a little longer than Microblading. Either way, a yearly color boost is recommended to keep your brows looking perfect. It would not be ideal for microblading/microshading to last forever. Not only do brow trends change, but gravity draws your eyebrows downward with age. Since these techniques  are designed to fade gradually over time, we can make adjustments over the years to allow your brows to keep a lifted and youthful appearance.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

These are very meticulous procedures which require a great deal of attention to detail. Two sessions are required- the initial session, and the perfecting session performed 4-6 weeks after the first. Your initial session will last approximately 2 hours. This may seem like a long appointment, but rest assured the time spent will be worth the final result. During your initial session, your face will be measured carefully to determine the ideal brow shape for your individual bone structure. The shape will be drawn on carefully and measured again for symmetry, and all hair outside of the new shape will be removed. We will then formulate the perfect pigment color to match your existing brow or hair color before the treatment begins. Your perfecting session 4-6 weeks later will last about 60-90 minutes.

Microblading and/or Microshading is a two-step process that includes the initial appointment and the perfecting session at 4-6 weeks. Both of these appointments are crucial for an optimal result. Touch-ups are recommended yearly. The following circumstances may require additional touch-ups:

- very oily skin

- previous tattooing or scar tissue in the eyebrow

- poor aftercare

- excess sun exposure

- use of acids or retinol products or facial exfoliation procedures

LIP SHADING

What Is Lip Shading?

Lip shading, also called lip blushing or lip tattooing, is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that can change the colour and the shape of your lips. To create this effect, an aesthetician uses tiny needles to deposit a pigment in your lips through a process called pixelation.

How long does lip shading last?

Typically, lip blushing lasts between two to three years and will gradually lighten and fade over time, until your lips slowly return to their natural shade.

What should I avoid after lip shading?

Avoid hot, spicy, and salty foods as it may cause added irritation. Avoid large bodies of water, direct sun exposure, teeth whitening, rubbing and smoking. Do not pick or scratch the lips as it may lead to a loss of pigment and/or scarring. Placing cosmetic products on unhealed lips is heavily discouraged.
